Authorities from the anti-corruption agency detained Najaf Hameed at the Rawalpindi court, where he was wanted for his involvement in a case and was out on bail.
During the court proceedings on Monday, Najaf Hameed and his legal representatives arrived late, leading to the judge rejecting his interim bail plea and issuing an arrest warrant.
Following the court's decision, anti-corruption officials took Najaf Hameed into custody and transported him to Chakwal. He is scheduled to appear before the court on Tuesday for further legal proceedings, including a possible request for physical remand.
Najaf Hameed, who was dismissed from his position as Tehsildar last year, faces charges related to fraud and forgery filed against him by the Chakwal Anti-Corruption Department.
