Cher’s family has reportedly expressed concerns over singer’s growing romance with beau Alexander “A.E.” Edwards.
An insider close to the family told Daily Mail that the 78-year-old singer’s relatives including her son Chaz Bono, believe her rapper boyfriend has some “red flags” and they worry about his true intentions.
According to the source, the tension escalated after the After All hitmaker recently announced that she is collaborating with her 38-year-old music executive boyfriend on her new and last album.
The latest move has given the rapper significant creative control and financial benefits.
Moreover, the Believe singer's family for her best interest "has given up on trying to convince her that Alexander does not have her best interests in mind", the insider dished out.
Cher, on other hand, claimed that “he was not after her money but now he is literally getting paid an enormous amount of money for this new album and she is giving him creative control of it”, it further dished out details.
The concerns further grew after the "Goddess of Pop", who has been dating Alexander for two years now, is said to be "contemplating revising her will to include him".
The insider noted that the legendary singer “has not yet done this but is strongly considering it because she claims he is the love of her life”.
It is worth mentioning that Cher and Edwards were last photographed together in October 2024, attending public events including Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
