Jude Law is, in his words, “bursting the bubble” by revealing a secret of his 2006 rom-com The Holiday.

The Marvel star appearing on BBC Radio said the quaint countryside home in the movie was not real.

Much to the shock of the host, Jude shared further details after he was asked whether anyone could Airbnb that Rosehill cottage.

“That cottage doesn’t exist,” the Sherlock Holmes star said. “Oooh, yeah. So the director, she’s a bit of a perfectionist,” he added, referring to director Nancy Meyers.

“She toured that whole area and didn’t quite find the chocolate box cottage she’s looking for. So she just hired a field and drew it and had someone build it.”

The 51-year-old also described how they shot the scenes despite not having the cottage in real.

“So here’s the funny thing, if you watch it … We were shooting in the winter here. And every time I’d go in that door, we’d cut, and we shot the interiors in L.A. about three months later.”

The host meanwhile was shocked and asked Jude to stop discussing it further because the fans of the films couldn’t “bear” it, which prompted the actor to quip, “Just burst the bubble. Sorry!”
