Dogma filmmaker Kevin Smith recently opened up about the star-studded line-up for the sequel to his 1999 cult classic.

According to Deadline, during his Dogma Confessional on Sunday, November 17, the 54-year-old director revealed that he's working on a Dogma follow-up and teased that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are expected to return for at least cameo appearances.

"Some people will be like, 'Don’t f—king touch it. You’ll ruin it,'" the View Askewniverse creator shared. "And I’m here to tell you: I will. I’m f—king ticked. I found a way in."

Smith sounded confident regarding Affleck and Damon reprising their iconic roles as fallen angels Bartleby and Loki.

He joked that after helping the duo with their 1997 film Good Will Hunting, without so much as a thank you in their Golden Globe and Oscar speeches, they owe him.

"I’ve been able to hold that over both their heads for 25 f—ing years, which is why they keep showing up in all the movies," Smith quipped. "Expect a cameo from them—more than a f—ing cameo. The only way we get a Dogma sequel made is if they’re there. So count on those guys being there."

Sunday’s panel marked the 25th-anniversary celebration of Dogma, which also features Alan Rickman, Alanis Morissette, Chris Rock, Linda Fiorentino, Jason Lee and Salma Hayek alongside Smith and Jason Mewes reprising their roles as Jay and Silent Bob.
