- Establishment Division has abolished 65 posts.

ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has abolished 65 posts out of 102 available vacancies and the Ministry of Health abolished 654 posts in light of the cabinet decision on August 27, The News reported Friday.
Section Officer Admin-II Sirfaraz Ahmad Sarohi wrote a letter to the Accountant General Pakistan Revenue about the decision. Secretary Establishment Division approved to abolish these posts as Principal Accounting Officer.
Among the abolished posts are accounts officer Grade 18, assistant accounts officer Grade 17, two assistant director Grade 17, one of DCA Grade 16, statistics assistant Grade 15, two research assistants Grade 14, steno typist Grade 14, 24 DEO Grade 10 out of 14, draftsman Grade 12 out of 11, supervisor Grade 5, messenger Grade 1, Chowkidar Grade 1 and six gardeners Grade 1.
It should be noted that the federal cabinet had decided on August 27 that 60% of the vacant posts in the ministries and divisions should be abolished in order to reduce the administrative expenses of the federation.
In the same way, the Ministry of National Health has abolished 654 vacant regular posts.
Among these vacancies are one post of grade nine telephone operator of National Institute of Population Studies, two posts of deputy messenger of FGTB Center, Rawalpindi, and one of record sorter, one of midwife of Border Health Services, six of deputy messengers, chowkidar 13, sanitary workers six and gardener one post.
Also abolished were Federal Medical College Islamabad Protocol Officer Grade 17 one post, programmer Grade 18 one post, librarian Grade 17 one post, assistant system analyst one post, office assistant three posts, UDC two post and twenty-one posts of telephone operators.
The list also includes washerman, pressman, attendant, deputy messenger, helper and sewer man.
Six posts of Islamabad Blood Regulatory Authority have been abolished, including assistants i.e. computer operator and deputy messenger.
