A crowd of far-right protesters clashed with police outside a mosque on Tuesday in a northern English town where three girls were stabbed to death during a dance event, AP reported.
The protesters wearing masks were hurling bottles and stones at the police, Merseyside police.
The police who were outside called the crowd the English Defence League’s supporters. The riots were linked with the stories in regard to a teenage boy who was apprehended after the stabbing.
“A lot of theories and assumptions have been made concerning the condition of a 17-year-old male currently in police custody, and some people are using this opportunity to stir unrest in the society,” said Merseyside Assistant Chief Constable Alex Goss.
Silent protest was made for the deserving people who got stabbed and when the people were approaching the mosque they get aggressive. A police van was set on fire and the event was characterised by black smoke, one policeman was beaten falling his face to the ground with a broken nose.
Police officers wearing black full helmets and bullet proof vest could be seen guarding the territory; and foam power slogans that included “No surrender!” and “English till I die. ” Fireworks, car alarms, police whistle, yell and hovering helicopter of police aerial inspection were the symbols of the event.
Updates by the police revealed that the girls were doing Tayor Swift dance and initial session of summer break break bumps and gentle touches which include the snowflake dance, chubby bunny where they jump with excitement and do stretches as well as the frog jumps; it was during this time that a male suspect wielding a knife barged into the studio.
