Prince William has been lauded for doing a 'fantastic job' hosting Emperor Naruhito and his wife Empress Masako in London.

For the unversed, the Japanese Emperor and Empress received a warm welcome by King Charles, Queen Camilla and the Prince of Wales at Horse Guards Parade on Tuesday.

Later, the Japanese royalty attended the state banquet at Buckingham Palace alongside the key royal figures.

Notably, the future King of England's role during this historic visit hailed by GB News presenter Isabel Webster during a conversation with royal historian Martyn Whittock.

She revealed that presenter Stephen Dixon overheard William's conmversation with the Emperor and he did a "fantastic job" with his "soft diplomacy."

The host said, "He overheard their conversation in the lobby, where there was a big crowd of the public there, and said that he thought Prince William did a fantastic job in terms of soft diplomacy."

Isabel claimed that the father-of-three talked about the "recent earthquakes that they've suffered and a number of political issues but in a very gentle, royal way."

In response to Isabel's remarks, Martyn said that we "often underestimate the power of the Royal Family. They are a really, really important part of British soft power."
