In a recent interview for the Mashion, film and television actor Mahira Khan shared details from her private life that might not be known to her fans. These included her favourite fashion choices, scent, holiday destination, as well as the best gift that she received from her husband.

Giving fans a tour of her closet, the Bol actor mentioned having lived in a small apartment with her brother Hassaan Khan and owning exactly one poster, albeit a life-sized one, of Jamaican singer Bob Marley.

"Bob was as big as we were," she joked. "We all lived together in that same, small apartment. This is a true story," she further clarified in a humorous tone.

Mahira was also questioned on what her favourite gift to give was, to which she responded, "It's not that I'm a miser, but I do like writing handwritten notes, and I have a thing for those pretty papers that you can write on and put in an envelope. I love doing that!"

When asked what her favourite gift to receive was, the actor endearingly complimented her husband. She smiled as she said, "My husband gives me really nice presents." The actor tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Salim Karim in October in a grand ceremony.

"The last present he gave me, I somehow have lost it," Mahira continued, "and I don't understand. I think it has been stolen." She then raised a finger as she lightheartedly threatened the viewers, "And whoever did that is going to go to... hell."

Mahira's quirks earned her a doting chuckle from the interviewing staff, as quickly as they warmed the hearts of her enthusiasts. "I'm serious!" she defended. "Because he thinks I lost it. I had it with me," she solemnly promised, putting a hand to her chest. "My favourite thing that he gifts me is the churi (bangles)," the 39-year-old actor elaborated.

She was then asked what she would like her room to smell like. "Like fresh flowers," Mahira replied. And in true desi spirit, she added, "Like jasmine."

The actor further discussed home accessories, confessing that she constantly buys kitchen utensils and anything that would help her serve guests. "This is off-topic, but I also use my empty jam bowls as flower pots," she said, before adding that her intent is to have a variety of appealing decoration pieces for her visitors to see.

Throughout the interview, Mahira also shared several details about her style and fashion choices. "I think, as I've grown older, my style has become more simple and classic," she said, "but on the other hand, I feel that I have started to become more confident in wearing something which may not be my go-to thing."

Because I go to all these festivals, I've pushed myself to wear something that's out of my comfort zone, and I've started to enjoy that," she said.

"I would splurge on a good moisturiser," she said in response to a question about beauty products. "I think with anything skin-related, you should always read the ingredients. You should be particular about what you're getting, whether it's for your hair or your body," she advised.

When mentioning her favourite colour for the summer, she said, "It's white. It'll always be white." Mahira's fans took to the comment section of the YouTube video to express their fondness for the actor's antiques. One user said, "MK is MK. No one comes close to her. Her aura is matchless. She instantly brings smiles to our faces."

"White is your colour, Mahira," pointed out another user, before praising the actor's "phenomenal" stylistic choices and how she carries herself, and deeming it her "signature".

"Mahira! You are so magical," claimed another one. "There is something about you that can't be described in words."

Many others commented on the blissful, post-marriage glow on her face while also observing how happily she discussed her husband. Expectedly, the Humsafar star garnered enthusiastic praise for her bubbly demeanour, with a number of fans fondly expressing how much they missed seeing her.
