ISLAMABAD – The Airport Security Force (ASF) at Islamabad International Airport intercepted 5.448 kilograms of heroin concealed within the Ihram clothing worn by a passenger embarking on an Umrah pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
The ASF officials promptly apprehended the passenger, who had ingeniously hidden the narcotics within the Ihram attire. The illicit drugs were discovered when the clothing underwent a thorough examination.
Subsequently, the ASF has transferred the suspect to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for further legal proceedings. It has been reported that the drugs absorbed by the garments will be extracted through a chemical process conducted by the ANF.
